A round table for healthcare workers was held in Novi Sad

Within the project MOS-Cross2, on April 28, 2023, the Round Table for Primary Health Care of South Bačka District was held in Novi Sad, where the Upgraded Common Protocol for Emergencies and Preparedness in the event of mosquito-borne diseases was presented.

The meeting was attended by members of the project teams of the Teaching Institute of Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County, the Institute of Public Health Sombor, the Institute of Public Health of Požega-Slavonia County, the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina and the Fund “European Affairs” of APV and health workers.

In front of the project partner of the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina, the attendees were greeted by prof. Dr. Sanja Bijelović and in front of the leading partner, the Teaching Institute of Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County, Magdalena Sikora presented the topic “Cross-border cooperation in mosquito control”. Prof. Dr. Vesna Turkulov from the Clinic for Infectious Diseases from Novi Sad presented a presentation on “Diagnostics, clinical picture and therapy of West Nile fever”. As the final topic of this round table, the topic “Climate change and threatening diseases transmitted by mosquitoes” was presented by assistant dr. Tatjana Pustahija from the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine from Novi Sad.

A discussion was opened in which the previously mentioned topics were discussed.
